County looks to capitalize on growing micro-brewery trend The beer industry contributes more than $9.3 billion annually to Virginia's economy and there are more than 206 licensed breweries in the state, according to state figures. The Brewers Association said Virginia has 164 craft breweries, which generate more than $1.3 billion in economic impact annually.
